Easy Curtain Decor
These days, however, with the rising popularity
of lightweight eyelet curtains, these functions often take second place to
decorating goals like setting a tone or design for a space. Nowhere is that
more obvious than in the world of Kitchen
curtains.
However much one may desire to have mild blocking
and privacy at other areas of the house, particularly in the bedrooms, the
kitchen is an area where most men and women favor a lot of light. But, it is
still desirable to have some amount of privacy, especially for those late night
fridge raids.
One method to supply both light and a measure of
solitude is by the installation of eyelet cafe curtains. These drapes are hung,
not at the top of the window, but halfway up, leaving plenty of room for
unfiltered light to enter the room. Café
curtains have the option of using a valance at the peak of the window,
or even of having a double pair of half-curtains which can be drawn for maximum
privacy. The usage of eyelets which makes it easy to pull them open or closed
in a single flash.
While eyelet curtains are frequently made of a
sheer cloth, if you would like to guarantee privacy it's far better to decide
on a somewhat thicker cloth, or use lined curtains to stop anyone seeing
through. When the curtains are pulled shut, this may block light to a greater
level.
Using cafe curtains allows individuals in the
kitchen a good view through the surface of the window even when the reduced
curtains are pulled closed. For anyone outside to see much of what may be going
on inside, they'd need to approach quite near the window, which might draw the
eye of anyone inside. Therefore, anyone within the kitchen may go about their
business without obstructing their view of outside goings on while preserving an
amount of privacy for themselves.
